BaoBao Foundation
The Baobab tree, from which the foundation derives its name, serves as a symbol of unity among many African communities. In Ghana, people have gathered under the Baobab Tree to sing, dance, drum, and tell stories for as long as anyone can remember. As a cornerstone of Ghanaian community, many generations gather to celebrate life and its many opportunities through music, dance, storytelling and enactment. The BaoBao Foundation serves as a figurative Baobab tree for Colorado communities to gather under to learn about the richness of West African arts and culture, while also providing opportunities for communities in Ghana, West Africa. |
